			<title>Prince Edward Island Book Award Announcement</title>

			<description><![CDATA[<img src="images/island_book_award_logo.jpg" width="336" height="336" border="0" alt="" /><br /><br />Congratulations are in order for nine island author&#039;s whose books have recently been chosen for the 2012 short list of the Prince Edward Island Book Award.<br /><br />The PEI Book Awards are held every two years, and the nine authors were chosen by a jury from the categories of Non-fiction, Fiction and Poetry.  Not only will the authors receive a cash prize, but they will also receive an award handcrafted by Susana Rutherford of Firehorse Studios in Charlottetown.<br /><br />The winning authors are as follows.<br /><br />Non-Fiction:<br /><br />Marian Bruce - Remembering Old Dan<br />John Eldon Green - Still Laughing, Afterthoughts of an Albany Boy <br />Jane Ledwell and others - Elaine Harrison: I am an Island that Dreams<br /><br />Fiction:<br /><br />Patti Larson - Family Magic <br />Patti Larson - Run (The Haunted) <br />Dale McNevin - Treasures to Find<br /><br />Poetry:<br /><br />Carol Little - A Study in Love <br />Leslie Stewart - Go’Way, Island Folklore and More <br />Dianne Hicks Morrow - What Really Happened is This<br /><br />Congratulations again goes to these nine authors.  The Island Book Awards ceremony will be held in the Beaconsfield Carriage House on May 16th at 7pm.<br />]]></description>
